ITC / YRI Conference Grant

Inclusiveness Target Countries / Young Researcher and Innovator Conference Grants

Euro-VALDI-NET invites CA-23146 Action participants coming from one of the COST affiliated Inclusiveness Target Countries OR aged < 40y at time of application (i.e. the so-called “Young Researcher and Innovator”, YRI), to apply for the ITC or YRI Conference Grant. In total, 3 grant will be funded for a total sum of €3000 (max €1000 each).

Goal of the ITC/YRC Conference Grant

This ITC or YRI Conference Grant is intended to support the travel and accommodation costs of one or more applicants affiliated to an ITC country or aged < 40y to present their work at a high-profile international conference organised by a third party (i.e. not COST). This work must be related to the topic of vascular liver diseases, but does not need to be a direct result of the COST Action. The overall aim is to provide a valuable experience for the ITC country members and for YRI by exposing them to the latest developments and to give them the opportunity to interact with experts in the field in order to support their career development.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants is a Young Researcher and Innovator (i.e. age< 40y at time of application) OR is primarily affiliated with a legal entity in one of the COST Inclusiveness Target Countries (ITC). Eligible countries can be found under Excellence & Inclusiveness | COST

The start and end-date of the Conference needs to be within the grant period, i.e. Nov 1 2024 - Oct 31 2025

The applicant is traveling to present his/her own work, either by poster presentation or oral presentation at one of the international high impact conferences, such as EASL, AASLD, ISTH, ISEV, EMBO, ESH, etc.

The applicant will promote the EURO-VALDI-NET Cost Action by acknowledgement of this grant in the presentation/poster.

Grant Timeline

Grant deadline application: March 14, 2025, 23:59hr CET

Grant awarding decision: March 31- April 4, 2025

Report ofITC Conference grant after grant awarding

After grant awarding, the applicant shall send an online grant report within 6 weeks after the end of the Conference, describing how the grant has benefited the applicants career. This report can be found here: https://www.cost.eu/ITCConference_Report

Vascular liver diseases are a heterogeneous group of rare disorders characterized by an impaired vascular flow in the splanchnic and/or intrahepatic vasculature. They mainly include recent portal vein thrombosis, portal cavernoma, porto-sinusoidal vascular disorder, Budd-Chiari syndrome and sinusoidal obstruction syndrome.
